Pull up a chair and pop a cold one. Sweet Cheeks is the American south north of the Mason Dixon, it’s my backyard as a kid. It’s the heady smell of smoked meat delivered with a sweet smile. It’s everything I love about what food can be and who we can be with food; disarming, comforting, convivial and fun.
We trucked through the Texas BBQ trail for food inspiration by the best and brightest. We fell in love. Hard. Dan said it best when we got back. He said, very simply, “A short rib changed my life”.
